Rosie Riveters' mission is to provide a fun space for girls ages 4-14 to imagine, create, and play while developing their skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Our organization is built on the premise that innovation is cultivated where experimentation is encouraged; that failure is not in conflict with success, but a necessary and crucial part of it. Through hands-on STEM projects our hope is to not only encourage girls to be strong, confident, and competent in STEM, but to keep them engaged through mentorship programs and network building.
As a classroom volunteer you'll get to interact one-on-one with participants, helping them trouble shoot and encouraging them to find their own solutions as they design and build projects based entirely upon trial and error and the examination of an example. The first 30 minutes of the program are set aside for our hands-on and interactive lesson. This lesson period will also provide volunteers with a lot of the information they will need to support questions from participants.
We are actively recruiting Boeing employees to join us as classroom volunteers for the dates below. If you wish to volunteer for any of our Spring 2018 program dates please complete our volunteer sign-up sheet below and indicate your preferred date in the "When are you available?" box.
Please note: First-time volunteers need to undergo an electronic background check. The instructions for the background check will be be provided once you have selected your availability.
