Do you love to take things apart and put them back together again? Live and breathe to code? Or maybe you constantly come up with new inventions? If you’re passionate about STEM and looking for a volunteer internship this spring, Rosie Riveters is the place for you! We’re a non-profit organization that inspires and motivates elementary and middle school girls to try new STEM skills in order to help bridge the gender gap currently found in the sciences. We’re looking for high schoolers who’d like to share their passion for STEM with younger students. You’ll help us with everything from setting-up materials to guiding girls as they build projects ranging from tubular science bracelets to solar-powered night lights. Not only will you get to build your STEM skills by teaching others, you’ll also design and present your own Rosie Riveters project (the best one will be featured on our website and possibly used in our programs!), and participate in a workshop on navigating the college search!
